The Freedom Network is comprised of 39 members across the U.S. who are focused on the fight against human trafficking. I attended this conference armed with the first prototype for Operation Compass and showed it to as many attendees as I could. I spoke with law enforcement, social workers, prosecutors, and victim advocates. The feedback I brought home was immeasurable and played a role in the mobile application that is now available.

This was my first time speaking at an academic conference and it was the perfect first conference experience. There were around 90 attendees and so many of them had known each other fora many years. I was invited to present on the contextual research I conducted for my thesis: Riding Shotgun, Supporting Truck Drivers with a Method of Anonymously Reporting Incidents of Child Trafficking as a panelist member on the discussion of Mobility Justice & Sexual Nobilities.
