About

My research and academic work have been focused on innovative design solutions that positively fuel and sustain social innovations. I am interested in integrating solutions in complex social issues gleaned from human-centered research.

The desired goal of my research is to establish a toolkit and models that can be integrated into an academic or community setting, in order to create a space for conversation and knowledge exchange. These strategies are meant to invite students and community members to actively participate and collaborate in the creation of new ideas and solutions.

This type of methodology is evidenced in my MFA thesis project, Riding Shotgun in the Fight Against Human Trafficking which transitioned into the non-profit organization, Operation Compass.
